Enclosures and control stations with the China Compulsory Certificate (CCC) for explosion protection

Ex-protected enclosures and control stations from ROSE Systemtechnik are now certified in accordance with the new Chinese regulations no. CNCA-C23-01:2019.

In 2019, the market regulation agency of the People’s Republic of China stated that, as of October 1, 2020, all Ex-products destined for the Chinese market must hold a China Compulsory Certificate. With this certification, ROSE, as one of the first companies in the sector, makes possible the legally watertight use of its Ex-products in machines and equipment destined for China.

ROSE Ex enclosures and Ex-Control Stations for ATEX zones 1 and 21 in China

Immediately after announcement of the new regulation in 2019, ROSE Systemtechnik took steps to arrange for certification in respect of its Ex-enclosures and Ex-control stations. When the regulation came into effect at the beginning of October, the certification process was already concluded by the CNEX-Global B.V. company in The Netherlands. All aluminium, polyester and stainless-steel Ex-enclosures, and also the Ex-control stations, from ROSE now hold a CCC. This means that they are authorised for use in ATEX zones 1 and 21 in China. Matthias Kaspar, Ex-Compliance-Representative at ROSE Systemtechnik, says: “Certification for zones 2 and 22 and for our pressure-tight encapsulated Ex d-enclosures will also be completed next year.”

CCC certification creates legal certainty

The new regulation has been in force since 2019, and during a transition period until October 1, 2020 it allowed companies to market their explosion-proof products in China without a China Compulsory Certificate. Since October 1, 2020, it has been forbidden to import Ex-products without this certificate into the People’s Republic. Mathias Ohsiek, Product Manager Ex-Products at ROSE, states: “This certification permanently secures our business with Ex-enclosures and ex-control stations on the Chinese market. In addition, we are giving legal certainty to our customers who equip their devices with our Ex-products and wish to sell them to China.”

In China, ROSE’s Ex-protected enclosures and control stations are mainly used in plants in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, and also found in applications for manufacturing basic chemicals. The People’s Republic is an important market for ROSE, and one with plenty of potential for growth.
