Explosion-proof enclosures for
LNG-Terminals
Our Ex enclosures made of polyester, aluminium and stainless steel protect electronic components in hazardous areas at LNG terminals.
Due to its small volume, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is essential for the energy supply in Germany. To produce it, natural gas is cooled down to -164 degrees Celsius, reducing its volume by a factor of six hundred. The liquefied natural gas can be transported via sea routes to the LNG terminal, where it is converted back into gas and fed into the adjacent gas network.
As an experienced specialist for explosion-proof enclosures, ROSE Systemtechnik develops and manufactures Ex enclosure systems for these purposes. Thanks to our many years of expertise in this field, the first German LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven was therefore also equipped with Ex e enclosures made of polyester from ROSE during construction.
Our enclosure solutions have all the relevant approvals and have been used in applications in the oil and gas industry worldwide for decades. They are certified according to ATEX and IECEx directives, among others, and are subject to strict quality controls. In addition to Ex enclosures, ROSE also offers Ex control stations. If required, buttons, indicator lights, switches, etc. are integrated into the enclosures according to the desired protection class.
