Mobile stand system with aluminium profile design – Moterm II from ROSE Systemtechnik permits better ergonomic workplace design
ROSE Systemtechnik has now unveiled a new mobile stand system – the Moterm II – with integrated-height adjustment to improve even further the ergonomics of HMI (human/machine interface) workplaces. This system can be combined with all ROSE control enclosures, and can on request be modified by the manufacturer to meet customers’ individual needs.
The use of a supporting arm for ergonomic attachment of a control enclosure to the machine is not always possible. The Moterm II stand system provides an alternative and permits variable positioning for setting-up of machine tools, when it is necessary to move the control enclosure close to the working area, for example.
Moterm II features a lightweight aluminium-profile design which assures extra mobility, on the one hand, while providing the necessary robustness, on the other. This system is available in a height specified by the customer or, alternatively, with integrated height adjustment to permit particularly ergonomic workplace design.
Customer-specific versions ensure the best possible ergonomics
The fixed-position version of Moterm II is designed for loads of up to 80 kg, while individual height can be set by means of customer-specific sizing. The height-adjustable version features five load ranges, from 8 kg to a maximum of 50 kg. In this variant, a gas pressure spring balances the weight of the control enclosure. The profile structure means that base-length can be varied and scaled to permit handling of higher load moments.
Further ergonomic features include foot-operated setting and release of the height adjustment function, allowing the operator to keep both hands on the control enclosure while working. The tilt angle of the control enclosure can also be adjusted. The manufacturer can, on request, use paint finishes to highlight specific components in different colours, or apply the customer’s own corporate-identity colours. Additional features, including a printer shelf, for example, are also available.
