Ex housing systems for LNG terminal
Great success for ROSE Systemtechnik: The company equips systems in the area of the new LNG terminal in Wilhemshaven with explosion-proof housing systems and thus makes an important contribution to energy security. ROSE received the order because of its extensive expertise in the field of explosion protection – the housings made from Porta Westfalica can be found in many refineries around the world.
ROSE supplies the new facility of the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven with Ex housing systems that have been specially developed for use in areas with increased safety requirements. The aluminium and stainless steel housings of the Ex eb and Ex db series meet the requirements of protection classes IP66 and IP67 and are suitable for use in ATEX zones 1 and 2. All housings are approved by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and have not only the ATEX but also the IECEx certification. ROSE processes the Ex housing systems according to customer drawings and equips them with the desired components. The Ex housings protect the electronics for controls in the area of the LNG terminal and thus ensure safe delivery of the gas.
ROSE Systemtechnik has been developing and manufacturing housing systems for applications in potentially explosive environments for over 50 years. The housings are used by numerous refineries around the world to protect their control technology. Before delivery, they undergo strict quality controls and endurance tests, which also include a complete Ex-piece test.
