NEW: Stainless Steel Flanged Enclosures

Now this is something to look at. Our new stainless steel flanged enclosures bring together the best of everything: higher-grade materials, tougher screws, easier maintenance, flexible adaptation and expansion options, and external earthing that finally ticks every box.

The new flanges allow enclosures to be expanded quickly. Hexagon lid screws can be loosened effortlessly even under extreme conditions, while clamping nuts inside the enclosure make mounting points freely selectable. External earthing is now also possible for industrial enclosures. Thanks to welded studs for ring cable lugs, positioning is fully flexible.

  • Flanges for additional flexibility

With immediate effect, our stainless steel enclosures feature side flanges made of 1.4404 stainless steel with welded stud fastening. This allows the enclosure to be extended or modified retrospectively without drilling, meaning the enclosure’s protection rating remains fully intact. Cap nuts provide a clean visual finish and protect the studs from contamination. They also reduce the risk of injury from exposed threads.

  • More robust material

The stainless steel flanged enclosures are available not only in material grade 1.4301 but now also as standard in 1.4404 stainless steel, which was previously reserved for our Ex enclosures. 1.4404 offers higher corrosion resistance for industrial applications. This is particularly beneficial in environments with moisture, chemicals or salty air, and it also provides greater resistance to mechanical stress. Customers can now choose the material best suited to their application without having to rely on explosion-protected solutions.

  • New hexagon lid screws

In our new stainless steel flanged enclosures, the previous cross-head screws have been replaced with high-quality 1.4404 stainless steel hexagon flange screws. They are significantly more robust, more durable, and can still be loosened easily in frost or damp conditions. Tools maintain a secure grip even when heavily soiled. The hexagon screws also prevent over-tightening and offer greater safety and stability in industrial environments.

  • Mounting with clamping nuts

Thanks to our new clamping nut technology, mounting points can now be repositioned freely. Users can place components exactly where needed and are no longer restricted by fixed drill holes. This enables faster and simpler mounting adjustments for modifications or upgrades. Drilling or additional fastening solutions are no longer required, making installation quicker and safer. Existing accessories from our other stainless steel enclosure series remain fully compatible, as the fixing points are unchanged. Older stainless steel enclosures can therefore be replaced directly with the flanged version without having to replace existing components.

  • External earthing with welded studs

Previously, cable ends were secured using a clamp. We now use welded studs for simple attachment of ring cable lugs to provide external earthing. This allows flexible positioning of the earthing point and ensures better contact quality with increased electrical safety. Faster and easier installation saves both time and effort. With the new welded studs and ring cable lugs, external earthing is now possible for industrial applications for the first time.

  • Drainage in both directions

The hinged cabinet versions of the new stainless steel flanged enclosures feature drainage openings at both the top and bottom of the lid or door. This allows water to drain in either direction if an opposite door opening is required and the enclosure needs to be rotated after installation.
