Perfectly protected all round

Due to growing geopolitical tensions, NATO is investing record amounts in the expansion of its armed forces. The extremely robust, certified defence technology enclosures from ROSE Systemtechnik are ideally suited for protecting electronic components in military applications. Visitors to the Enforce Tac trade fair can see the products for themselves from 23 to 25 February in Nuremberg at the joint stand of ROSE and BOPLA.

Whether in communication and navigation devices, firing range systems or armoured vehicles, enclosure solutions from ROSE Systemtechnik are used in a wide variety of military applications across all branches of the armed forces. Defence technology enclosures from ROSE are manufactured from aluminium, stainless steel and polyester and feature a high degree of protection (IP66/IP67). The industrial enclosures and Ex control stations also meet the highest standards and hold all relevant approvals and certifications for use in the military sector, including Marine, ATEX, UL-Ex, INMETRO, UKCA Ex and Explolabs. This makes ROSE a qualified supplier to the defence industry.

“Our stainless steel and aluminium enclosures are, among other things, very well suited for marine applications,” says Lennart Steding, Head of Internal Sales Enclosure Technology at ROSE. Aluminium enclosures are passivated in a chromium(III) oxide immersion bath and finished with a low-copper alloy. Stainless steel enclosures are ideally suited for use in offshore applications simply due to their material properties (V4A/CrNiMo).

A particular feature on the market is the wide range of customisation options offered by ROSE. On request, the company equips its enclosures not only with suitable switches, indicator lights and mounting plates, but also offers a variety of surface finishing techniques, such as different NATO paint finishes or mechanical modifications including milling and drilling. To protect against electromagnetic interference, the enclosures are also fitted with RF-shielded sealing systems. In combination with aluminium enclosures, these ensure secure and reliable communication.

ROSE places the highest quality demands on its enclosure solutions. To ensure this, the products undergo intensive environmental and IP protection tests in accordance with DIN EN 60529 prior to delivery. These include salt spray testing in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227, outdoor weathering tests and ESD dissipation capability tests. On request, ROSE also carries out customer-specific enclosure testing, including installed components.

At the leading trade fair for security and defence, Enforce Tac, from 23 to 25 February in Nuremberg, ROSE will present a broad selection of defence technology enclosures. Among the exhibits at the stand will be the Aluform aluminium die-cast enclosures.
